This utility enables the use of remote SMTP servers for sending email. An external SMTP mail server may be preferred if email from your default mail server is being rejected by some recipients. To add remote SMTP servers, click on " SMTP" at the top left of the Compose window, then click on "Add", and enter the following:
Account Label - This is the name this SMTP Account will be displayed under.
Mail Server - This is the name of the remote SMTP mail server this account will connect to.
Port - This is the remote port required to make an SMTP connection to this server.
Use encrypted SSL connection? - Check "Yes" if you would like to use a secure SSL connection when sending mail through this server. Please note that the server must support SMTP via SSL (all Webmasters.com servers support this).
SMTP Authentication? - Check "Yes" if this server requires remote users to authenticate before relaying mail (most SMTP servers should require this).
User Name - This is the user name required for SMTP Authentication (if "Yes" is checked in #4 above).
Password - This is the password required for SMTP Authentication (if "Yes" is checked in #4 above).
Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or issues. Thank you for contacting us.
